Each year on April 22nd, people around the world celebrate the beautiful planet we call home with Earth Day. Constantly in awe of nature—its beauty and diversity—we love to celebrate Earth Day. In fact, we love it so much that we aim to celebrate it every day! Read on to learn more about Earth Day 2021 and to find out how Gold Seal makes every day Earth Day:
Earth Day Every Day
As a company, we care deeply about the environment and protecting our planet. With the ocean making up over 70% of the Earth, we recognize that we need to do our part to preserve delicate marine life and environments. That’s why we use sustainable fishing methods that protect fish populations, ensuring there are always enough fish to maintain healthy populations for future generations. Our methods also reduce bycatch, protecting other vulnerable species in the ocean.
Recently, we’ve turned our attention to becoming plastic neutral as well. This means that, through a partnership with Cleanhub, we ensure that the equivalent of the plastic we use in the course of our business is collected from the environment and recycled properly.
Earth Day 2021: Restore Our Earth
This year, the theme for Earth Day is ‘Restore Our Earth.’ Over three days, earthday.org will host a series of virtual events bringing together experts, activists, thought leaders, influencers, and more to examine ways we can restore the Earth’s ecosystems. With a focus on action, these events will cover topics like climate restoration technologies, environmental literacy, reforestation, and more.
