Our Salmon Rice Bowl Recipe has pan-fried salmon with teriyaki sauce over a rice bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (213g) Gold Seal Wild Sockeye Salmon (Traditional), drained
  • 2 tbsp soy
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • Oil for the pan
  • 2 short-grain Japanese rice, cooked and hot
  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • Sliced green onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Toasted seaweed, if desired

Directions

  1. Toss the salmon with soy, sake, and sugar.
  2. Heat up a bit of oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook on medium-high heat until the sauce reduces slightly and salmon is warmed through.
  3. Divide the rice between two bowls and top with the salmon, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, green onions, sesame seeds, and seaweed, if using. Enjoy immediately.
