Salmon Mac and Cheese
1 can (213g) Gold Seal Wild Sockeye Salmon (Traditional)
1/2 pound fusilli pasta, cooked, cooled and set aside
2 cups shredded old cheddar
1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
1/2 cups sliced kalamata olives
1 1/2 can evaporated milk
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Preheat oven at 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl combine pasta, salmon, cheddar cheese, green onions and olives, mix well and pour in a greased baking pan or oven-safe fry pan.
- In a small saucepan heat the evaporated milk and add cream cheese stirring until cheese is melted.
- Pour milk and cheese mixture over pasta and coat with bread crumbs. Bake uncovered in preheated oven at 350°F for 30 – 35 minutes.
Tips and Tricks
This recipe works really well with tuna as well.
